Position Title: Digital Marketing Advisor

Position Type: Full time – permanent

Position Description and Qualifications: You are an innovative and strategic thinker with solid hands on experience in creating and delivering digital marketing ideas and content. You understand what drives online traffic and engages stakeholders. You can assess and explore new digital markets and methods for reaching members of the community and have the ability to influence, align and connect them to an impactful brand experience.

You can assess challenges and bring forward new opportunities to grow awareness and support of United Way. You can monitor and optimize existing websites by implementing SEO strategy, analyze and report on digital results and ROI and bring forward recommendations for change.

Reporting to the Director of Engagement Marketing, your position works closely with the Manager of Digital Media, the entire Community Engagement team and external contractors/vendors. Your responsibilities include working with a team to shape and implement digital marketing strategies that create awareness, build brand and generate financial support. You will be responsible for coordinating, developing and implementing social, interactive, awareness and community wide fundraising campaigns via social media and other crowdfunding and online giving platforms. This includes regular digital design, creation of webpages and various content development. You will also create and maintain reports on digital marketing activities as well as help coordinate, implement and promote new digital and experiential marketing programs and products.

Your background includes a degree or diploma in a related discipline, plus a minimum of three years of experience in a similar position. Equivalencies will be considered. You have experience working with digital technology including web design and all social media platforms. You are an expert in using Google Adwords, Google Analytics, MailChimp, Constant Contact or similar marketing software. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and video production is an asset. Experience building websites with WordPress, HTML, and CSS is also considered an asset. You have strong written and verbal communication skills, can work well independently and with cross functional teams, and can manage multiple priorities under deadlines. Experience in the non-profit sector and an understanding of fundraising principles is preferred.
