Position Title: Leadership Workshop Facilitator

Position Type: Part time – temporary

Position Description and Qualifications: We invite community, university, government, arts, business and non-profit leaders to present leadership workshops to University of Alberta graduate and professional students. Each two-hour workshop blends didactic content with applied learning, ideally through an experiential activity, and also includes dedicated time for reflection. Workshops are usually limited to 20-30 participants to allow for a robust, reflective, and experiential opportunity. Successful workshop proposals will contain a strong connection to leadership; they will clearly specify which leadership skill or strategy graduate students will learn from the workshop, and why that skill is important for graduate students.

About the Company or Organization: The Peter Lougheed Leadership College was established in 2015 in honour of Peter Lougheed, the premier of Alberta from 1971-85. It created an inclusive, cross-campus platform for the University of Alberta and beyond to gain insights and confidence needed to take on the challenge of leadership in all aspects of life and society. With programming for undergraduates, graduate students and executive education, PLLC hosts and connects current and aspiring leaders.
