Position Description and Qualifications:

As the Director, Corporate and Stakeholder Relations, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer you will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team. This role is responsible for overseeing the strategic and operational support to the Board and Committees under the direction of the CEO. You will also be instrumental in developing and overseeing corporate planning, and strategic communication and stakeholder relations, that align with, and clearly deliver on EMRB’s strategic priorities and operational plan.

As a key advisor in this multifaceted role, you will proactively support the CEO in board governance, act as the most senior communications and stakeholder relations leader and will play an active role in developing and executing strategic and operational business plans, and communication and stakeholder engagement plans. Corporate and board policy development and overseeing the development the annual report will be second nature to you. This role in conjunction with the CEO is responsible for EMRB’s brand and reputation management, and stakeholder engagement in a regulatory environment focused on ensuring sustainable growth and development in the region.

The position is located in Edmonton.

Your background will demonstrate an ability to build relationships and influence senior leadership teams or boards with divergent interests in a sensitive and professional manner. You naturally have the ability, to see all sides of an issue and enjoy providing support to key decision makers ensuring they have the required policy and background information to make informed decisions. You are an excellent communicator and succinctly and clearly convey messages to meet stakeholder needs. Thought leadership excites you and you have a keen desire to find solutions and make a difference. You are highly organized and take a ‘hands on’ approach to ensure the highest quality in service delivery, and operational management.
