Position Description and Qualifications

Location: Edmonton Office (onsite three days and work-from-home two days a week)
We are seeking a strategic, creative and highly organized Executive Content Strategist to lead the
development, integration and execution of content initiatives that support the Chiropractic
Association of Alberta’s mission and brand. This is a hybrid role that blends high-level strategic
content leadership with direct support to the CEO, ideal for a candidate who thrives in both
visionary and operational capacities. The successful candidate is a key partner to the Chief
Executive Officer (CEO) and a driving force behind our communications and digital strategy.
This role reports directly to the CEO and works closely with the Project Management and Member
Engagement teams. While the role is not a people manager, it plays a leadership role in cross-functional initiatives.

The ability to travel within Alberta is required (and potentially nationally).

Education and Experience

The ideal candidate holds a degree in communications, marketing, business administration or a
related field, paired with a minimum of two years of progressive experience in content strategy,
digital communications, or integrated marketing – preferably within a health, advocacy, or non-profit environment. Experience providing executive support or functioning in a chief of staff-like
capacity is a strong asset. Membership in professional associations such as the International
Association of Business Communicators (IABC), Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS),
Canadian Marketing Association (CMA), or the Advertising Club of Edmonton (ACE) is preferred.
Core Responsibilities

Strategic Content Leadership

  • Work alongside internal teams to develop and implement multi-platform content strategies that elevate the Association’s voice across web, social, email and media.
  • Plan and manage an editorial calendar aligned to key campaigns, member priorities and organizational milestones.
  • Lead the creation of high-quality content and design assets including blog posts, executive messaging, reports, social media content and internal communication assets.
  • Oversee content analytics and performance reporting; evaluate insights to optimize engagement and strategic alignment.
  • Ensure the integrity and continuity of the Association’s brand, tone and voice across all channels.

Executive and Project Support

  • Act as a key partner to the CEO by managing communications, calendar coordination, meeting logistics, travel arrangements and priority follow-ups.
  • Coordinate strategic meetings and events including agenda design, preparation of briefing materials and minute-taking.
  • Manage cross-functional content initiatives and support project timelines, deliverables and stakeholder engagement.
  • Serve as the communications liaison for leadership letters, CEO messages and formal outreach to stakeholders.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for third-party vendors and partners (for example, marketing agencies, printers, etc.)

Digital and Member Engagement

  • Manage social media channels to ensure timely, relevant and high-value content for members and stakeholders.
  • Develop creative assets using graphic design software (Canva) for social and digital channels.
  • Continuously seek to understand member needs and deliver content and communication that enhances the member experience and engagement.

Required Skills and Attributes

  • Exceptional written (CP style) and verbal communication skills, with a flair for compelling storytelling.
  • Advanced knowledge of digital platforms, publishing workflows and content analytics.
  • Fluent in graphic design software such as Canva and multi-platform creative
  • requirements.
  • High degree of professionalism, discretion and judgment in dealing with confidential information.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities; capable of juggling multiple priorities with precision.
  • Proven interpersonal and relationship management skills; adept at working with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to see the big picture while managing the details.
  • Demonstrated initiative, creativity and resilience in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Compensation
This is a full-time position with a salary range of $65,00 to $75,000 and a benefits package,
including an RRSP contribution. Salary will be determined based on experience.

Background
The Chiropractic Association of Alberta was launched on December 1, 2021, as part of Bill 46 with
the separation from the Chiropractic College of Alberta. Our purpose is to elevate chiropractic
