Calling all Edmonton communicators/PR/marketing/agency folks and friends!
CPRS Edmonton Society needs you. The chapter needs to recruit new members for its board when the new season starts in September for the 2024/25 season.
By joining the board you have an opportunity to set direction for the chapter, make new friends and professional connections, learn new skills and add to your resume.
The chapter can’t exist without volunteers who step forward. If you care about a professional organization that tries to build community and promote a professional industry with ethical standards we urge you to step forward, join the board.
Board members must have an active CPRS membership and be prepared to attend monthly board meetings which are held both virtually and in-person. The time commitment can vary depending on role and support for events.
Each Director will offer:
· A time commitment to serve a two-year term.
· Ability to commit the necessary time for Board meetings, possible committee meetings, attend events, and meeting preparation.
Personal qualities of all Directors
· A commitment to CPRS Edmonton bylaws and CPRS Code of Professional Standards.
· Personal and professional integrity and informed judgment.
· Ability to work positively, cooperatively, and respectfully and communicate effectively as a member of the team with other Directors.
· Enthusiasm for the role and its demands.
· Ability and willingness to represent the Society as required within the broader community and be an ambassador for CPRS Edmonton.
